Lok Sabha polls 2014 kicked off on Monday with nearly six million people casting their vote in five constituencies in Assam and one of two seats in Tripura. The Election Commission in New Delhi said the voter turnout in Assam was approximately 78 percent while in Tripura it was 85 percent.
