Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are a jodi that has become a favourite with almost everyone on screen as well as off it. Be it their sizzling chemistry on the 70 mm or their dreamy wedding in Italy, Ranveer and Deepika have been the centre of attention for quite some time now. Ever since their wedding at Lake Como in November 2018, Ranveer and Deepika have been the talk of the town. If the newlyweds cannot stop gushing about each other in interviews, their social-media PDA can make anyone go weak in their knees.

After an intimate wedding, now all eyes are on Ranveer and Deepika’s first Holi as a married couple. Recently, the 33-year-old actress was asked about her first Holi post her wedding. Deepika replied, “It’s so ironic that on the day of Holi, I leave for Chhapaak; we start shooting on Monday. It is a very very important film, the story needs to be told, we start filming on Monday and on Holi day is when I leave for Delhi so no celebration, just a lot of preparation.”

Going by her recent comment, Deepika will not be celebrating her first Holi with Ranveer Singh post their wedding. It was last year that Deepika signed Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak.

Deepika took to Instagram to share a picture of the first reading of Chhapaak’s script with co-actor Vikrant Massey. Deepika captioned the picture, “All things are ready, if our mind be so-William Shakespeare #Chhapaak @meghnagulzar @foxstarhindi @vikrantmassey87.”

Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Deepika is co-producing Chhapaak. Talking about the film, Deepika told a daily, “When I heard this story, I was deeply moved as it’s not just one of violence but of strength and courage, hope and victory. It made such an impact on me, that personally and creatively, I needed to go beyond and so the decision to turn producer.”
