02/10What was your turning point?

For me, obesity hit my self-esteem levels. I faced embarrassment, shame and trolling from my friends. They used to sometimes call me or chide me by saying bad words, and keep me out of activities. A lot of it was due to my unhealthy eating habits (I once used to eat just oily food, and now, everything I eat is clean and healthy), but personally, too, it was a lot to deal with.

The feeling of being different and heavy is always there. So, it was after my birthday in July that I kickstarted my journey. By that time, gyms have started to open up after the lockdown so I signed up instantly.

03/10My diet

My breakfast: I used to have a glass of warm water just after waking up. Then, I would go on to have a cup of black coffee with an apple, followed by working out in the gym.

I had my breakfast after coming back from the gym- 6 eggs (5 white+1 whole) with 50 grams oats (made in 250 ml toned milk, topped off with some fruit and 10 almonds).

A while later, I would take any one fruit, with a slice of brown bread and a spoonful of peanut butter.

My lunch: A bowl of arhar ki dal+ soyabean subji/veggies+ 2 whole wheat chapatis+ curd (100 grams)+ salad.

My dinner: For dinner, I usually have 8 eggs (7 whites+ 1 whole) with a serving of salad.

Pre-workout meal: Black coffee+ apple/ brown bread slice.

Post-workout meal: A scoop of whey protein + what I have for breakfast.

I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): I didn’t have any cheat meal throughout 2020! I just had my first one on January 01, 2021.

Low-calorie recipes I swear by:

My favourites are fruits and veggies! Whenever I feel hungry, I munch on cucumbers, carrots, fruits (except banana/chikoo), peanuts and dry fruits.

07/10What was the lowest point for you?

I feel that being overweight impacted me personally and slowly, started to impact my studies too. I felt heavy, dull, lethargic all the time. Couldn’t even study well. Finding clothes for your size is also difficult.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I want to have a muscular body like athletes too. I also want to look attractive in front of others.
