FREE LIVE STREAM: ANA Inspiration

The women’s major golf season has started this week, with the ANA Inspiration available to watch – for free – via Sky Sports Golf’s live YouTube stream.

All of the world’s top 10 teed off in California on Thursday for the 50th edition of the event, which is back in its usual April spot after being pushed back to September in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit held the 36-hole lead on nine under at Mission Hills Country Club, one ahead of Shanshan Feng of China.

But there was a strong European contingent within striking distance of the lead at the halfway stage, with England’s Charley Hull and Anna Nordqvist of Sweden both on six under.

England’s Georgia Hall and AIG Women’s Open champion Sophia Popov of Germany were one behind on five under.

World No 1 Jin Young Ko has returned to the event, having missed her title defence last year because of coronavirus travel restrictions, and was also tied for sixth on five under after Friday’s action along with her compatriot and defending champion Mirim Lee, as well as Lydia Ko and Inbee Park.

There are plenty of other top players well-placed to mount a challenge over the weekend, including Stacy Lewis, Leona Maguire, Bronte Law and Jessica and Nelly Korda.

The stream will offer three hours of live action on both Saturday and Sunday, with coverage from 11pm until 2am.

The coverage is part of a quadruple-header of live golf on Sky Sports this weekend, with the Valero Texas Open, the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and the Augusta Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals also live over the coming days.
