No tomatoes in burgers, wraps at many McDonald’s stores in India

McDonald’s restaurants in India have removed tomatoes from their menus due to supply shortages and concerns regarding the quality of the vegetable. Tomato prices in some regions in India have climbed up to 288% in the past month, reaching a record high of INR 140 ($1.7) per kilogram.
