Foxconn is planning to invest more than $1.2 billion in Karnataka and establish two component factories in India, with at least one potentially supplying Apple parts for iPhones, according to anonymous sources. Foxconn is spending $500m on the two facilities and an additional $700m to build a plant close to Bengaluru airport, which is expected to assemble iPhones and create 100,000 jobs.
