India’s monthly Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew 3.7% in June 2023, compared to 12.6% in the same month last year as manufacturing output growth slumped. The IIP’s last low point was 1.9% in March 2023. During Q1 2023-24 (April to June), the IIP saw growth of 4.5%, down from 12.9% in the corresponding period a year ago.
