No power to look into Akasa-pilots feud: DGCA

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has stated that it does not have the power to intervene in the dispute between pilots and Akasa Air. The airline has accused the DGCA of not taking action and claimed to be facing financial and operational difficulties. The DGCA responded by suggesting that the airline comply with regulations by maintaining a limited schedule if it lacks enough pilots. The regulator also mentioned that it cannot interfere in employment contracts and decisions. The airline has expressed frustration over the pilots’ actions.
