The BSE Sensex declined in a volatile trade, mainly due to selling in IT and tech stocks. However, heavy buying in energy, metal, and auto counters limited the losses. Selling in IT shares following mixed results by TCS and Infosys dragged the key indices down. Despite this, the market exhibited strength in anticipation of healthy overall Q2 results. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued to be net sellers in the market.
