India’s power consumption in the April-October period grew 9.4% compared to last year, reaching around 984.39 billion units. This is attributed to improved economic activities and weather conditions. Peak power demand also rose to nearly 241 GW during the same period. In October alone, power consumption surged by nearly 22% to 138.94 billion units due to festivities and increased economic activities. Experts predict that power consumption will continue to grow steadily in the coming months due to ongoing festivities and improved economic conditions.
