TikTok is reportedly in talks with Indonesian e-commerce companies for potential partnerships after the country banned online shopping on social media platforms. The popular app has engaged with five companies, including GoTo’s Tokopedia and Blibli, according to the minister for Small-Medium Enterprises. TikTok and YouTube are also considering applying for e-commerce licenses in Indonesia. The ban forced TikTok to shut down its e-commerce service TikTok Shop.
