ONGC to cut gas flaring, use green power at oil wells: Chairman Arun Kumar Singh

State-controlled ONGC plans to replace natural gas with green electricity in its operations as part of its decarbonisation drive. ONGC aims to wheel green power to its installations in the Arabian Sea and sell the freed gas to industries. The company is committed to reducing methane emissions and has substantially cut gas flaring. It is working towards eliminating methane emissions and is exploring technology solutions. ONGC also plans to invest in clean energy projects to achieve its 2038 net-zero carbon emissions goal.
