Zomato has made a $2 billion acquisition offer to acquire e-commerce shipping platform Shiprocket, according to Bloomberg. If the deal goes through, it would be one of the biggest acquisitions in the Indian startup space this year. Shiprocket, valued at $1.2 billion, provides a technology stack for retailers to integrate their shopping websites with multi-carrier API for order management and shipping. It has over 45 warehouses in India and offers shipping solutions in 24,000 pincodes within India and 220 countries & territories. Shiprocket’s previous acquisitions include Omuni and Pickrr.
