Wedge Sneakers Are Still Cool

They lengthen your legs, are comfortable enough to wear on a Sunday sojourn from The Bowery to The Standard (and back again), and are still very much on-trend.  Rest assured, the wedge sneak is still très chic.  Need proof?

Check out Ash’s new pastel high-top (left), which will be available this week for $225 at the brand’s N.Y.C. store (44 Mercer St.; 646-424-1796.)

Another awesome option, which doesn’t require astronomical eBay prices (ahem, Isabel Marant!) is Nike’s $130 Liberty print dunks.

If you’re in the market for more of a neutral, Kate Bosworth throwback sort of look, there is always the delightfully sporty $315 Serafini “Tuileries” suede sneaker, which are perfect with cut-offs and Rayanne Graff babydolls alike.  Other great nude styles include the nicely-priced Marc by Marc Jacobs lace-ups (Thank you, Outnet!) and retro, leather See by Chloe high-tops in pepto pink!

But if you’re looking for something a little more urban, check out Y-3′s fall/winter “Sukita” wedge in black.  Part Dark Knight Rises, part Kanye, we can’t think of a better complement to leather leggings–save for a Kardashian, of course!
