Victoria’s Secret recently launched on Pinterest, and to celebrate, one of its Angels—Behati Prinsloo—has curated a board. The Twitter-savvy Prinsloo tried her hand at the image-pinning site for the first time, pulling together a selection of her favorite images from the 1930s to present—including some past Victoria’s Secret covers, of course—for an “Evolution of the Swimsuit”-themed board, launching publicly tomorrow on the Victoria’s Secret Pinterest.
“When I think of the evolution of the bikini, so many things immediately come to mind,” she says, offering clues to the contents of her board. “I think of Bond girls, Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, the high cut bathing suits from the 80s in all the bright colors. My inspiration for the Evolution of the Swimsuit board started with the iconic Farrah Fawcett poster from 1976. Fawcett’s pose, curly beach hair, and infamous red swimsuit were the pin that came to mind to build this Pinterest board.”
Prinsloo shared her song for the summer (“Sinnerman” by Nina Simone), her summer beach vacation of choice (Kauai, Hawaii), and her favorite swimsuit (“for sure my micro-mini Missoni triangle bikini”) with ELLE—plus gave us an exclusive preview of some of the images she pinned, after the cut. And be sure to check out Behati’s Evolution of the Swimsuit board in full when it launches tomorrow, June 21.
