Aamir Khan has shared a glimpse from his recent visit to Arijit Singh’s hometown, drawing attention to a musical collaboration that is now officially confirmed. Aamir Khan Productions has announced that Arijit Singh will be lending his voice to the upcoming romantic film Ek Din, bringing together the actor-producer and the singer once again for a new project.
The update follows the release of Ek Din’s teaser a few days ago, which received a positive response for its romantic tone and the on-screen chemistry between lead actors Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit, with a theatrical release scheduled for May 1, 2026.
According to the production house, Aamir Khan personally collaborated with Arijit Singh on the song, with the recording session taking place at the singer’s hometown in Murshidabad. The visit had earlier sparked speculation, especially after Arijit Singh had announced that he would be stepping away from playback singing. Many believed Aamir Khan had met the singer to persuade him to return. It has now been clarified that the meeting was in connection with Ek Din, with Arijit lending his voice to the film’s album.
Sharing the update on social media, Aamir Khan wrote, “Thank you Arijit for bringing so much heart to the music of Ek Din.” The post has further fueled interest in the film’s soundtrack, given the duo’s history of successful collaborations.
Ek Din marks the first on-screen pairing of Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan. In the film, Junaid will be seen playing an awkward, understated character, while Sai Pallavi portrays a naturally confident young woman. The teaser has already offered a glimpse of their dynamic, positioning the film as a light, emotionally driven love story.
The project also reunites Aamir Khan with Mansoor Khan after a long gap. The duo has previously collaborated on well-known titles such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum, and Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Their return to the romantic genre with Ek Din has added to the anticipation surrounding the film. Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Ek Din is set for a nationwide theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
