Actor and breast cancer warrior Hina Khan participated in Illuminate 3.0 – the Oncology Leadership Townhall – hosted by Dr. Sewanti Limaye, Director – Medical & Precision Oncology at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.

The event brought together oncologists, healthcare professionals, cancer survivors, and caregivers to discuss advancements in cancer care and the importance of early detection. Hina walked the ramp alongside Dr. Limaye, fellow survivors, doctors, and caregivers to spread awareness about cancer prevention and screening.

Addressing the symposium, Hina spoke about the shift in awareness around cancer and the importance of timely diagnosis and access to appropriate treatment. She said, “I think times have changed, and there is a significant difference compared to earlier. I would give credit to both, doctors who organize such events to highlight how important early screening is, and patients who share their journeys with others to show that cancer is not a death sentence…”

She emphasized the role of emotional strength and proactive healthcare decisions during the cancer journey, encouraging patients to remain informed and resilient. Her presence at the townhall underscored the growing role of public figures in amplifying conversations around cancer awareness, prevention, and support systems.
