Mickey Sumner, the 28-year-old daughter of music icon Sting, has been cast to play another music icon: Patti Smith. Sumner, who did a six-episode stint on The Borgias last year, will play Smith in the upcoming rock film CBGB, centering on the rise of the legendary New York club where acts like Talking Heads and The Ramones got their start. She joins the likes of Malin Akerman, who’s set to play Debbie Harry, and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who is making his acting debut as Iggy Pop. Filming is set to get underway later this month, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
