01/5The dangerous sign that you are drinking too much milk
Around 240 ml consumption of milk every day provides you with 30 per cent of the daily recommended intake of calcium. Not just this, milk also has protein, fat, vitamin D and vitamin B12, which makes it a super healthy food.
Calcium, the key nutrient found in milk promotes bone health. Cow milk also packs magnesium and potassium, both of which help in supporting healthy teeth and bone.
But as is the rule, too much of anything, however nutritious or healthy is bad for your health. And the same is true for milk. Drinking too much milk can actually cause damage to your bones, which is the opposite of what it is meant to do.

03/5Why does it happen?
The chances for fractures increase with the increased consumption of milk because of the sugar called D-galactose, which is found in the naturally occurring sugar in milk, lactose. Lactose is believed to exacerbate oxidative stress and contribute to low-grade chronic inflammation. And we all are well aware of the fact that inflammation can wreak havoc on the body in various ways.
Dairy products including full fat cow’s milk and cheese contain saturated fat, which can increase inflammation. Saturated fat can also raise bad cholesterol and increase your risk of heart diseases.
According to another study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, bone fractures due to osteoporosis in older adults are higher in countries that consume the most dairy, animal protein and calcium.
