Steps:

1.Sit comfortably in vajrasana

2. Moving into a table-top position, inhale as you look up (Remember that your back should be in a convex shape)

3. Slowly arching your spine up, exhale as you look down (Your back should be in a concave shape)

4. Hold the pose for 30 seconds and come back to the original position

Just like the name suggests, Vrikshasana or the tree pose is all about keeping the balance and staying grounded. The Sanskrit name comes from the words ‘vrksa’ meaning tree, and ‘asana’ meaning pose.

Steps:

1. Stand comfortably and keep both your feet together

2. Arms should be placed by the side of your body

3. Stretch your arms upwards over your head and join them in a namaste mudra

4. Bend your right knee gently and place your right sole firmly near the root of the left thigh

5. Stand firmly on your left leg

6. Try to keep the balance

7. Repeat the same with the other leg

8. Try to balance the body for 60 seconds on each leg

Also known as the mountain pose, Tadasana is one of the simplest yoga poses that can help you increase your height. It is the foundation of all the other standing asanas. Since it is really easy to do, you can do it anywhere, anytime. However, the ideal time to do Tadasana is early in the morning after emptying your bowels.

Steps:

1. Find a comfortable standing position

2. Stand erect and let your arms hang loosely by the sides comfortably

3. Relax your shoulders and keep both your feet together

4. As you breathe in, lift your heels and stand on your toes

5. Raise both your arms slowly in the upward direction

6. Stretch your whole body upwards as if you are trying to touch the roof (if indoors) or the sky (if outdoors)

7. Hold the pose for a few seconds

8. Breathe out and slowly come back to your original position
