Boeing’s 777 ‘gliders’ signal more cash woes

As of last week, Boeing has accumulated 11 newly built but engine-less aircraft, known as “gliders,” at its Everett, Washington facility, as highlighted in a report by Jefferies analyst Sheila Kahyaoglu, based on data from Aero Analysis Partners/AIR. The financial implications of these undelivered 777 freighters are significant, creating an estimated cash-flow drag of approximately $1.16 billion.
