Fuel stations in Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, are running dry due to panic buying caused by a two-day strike. However, the oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reassured the public that an adequate fuel supply chain is in place and tankers are on their way to refill the underground fuel tanks. OMCs have started supplying fuel through trucks operated by dealers and distributors, and they are prepared to extend the operational hours of fuel depots and LPG bottling plants if needed. The Fuel Station Owners’ Association in Lucknow mentioned that some stations faced difficulties due to using their December 31st stock.
