Embassy warns against delivery driver job racket in Kuwait

The Indian embassy in Kuwait has issued an advisory for Indians coming to work as ‘restaurant drivers’ on employment visas. The advisory warns about the job traps and advises aspirants to be aware. It emphasizes that job vacancies with titles like ‘consumer orders’ or ‘delivery of orders’ are actually ‘food delivery aggregators’. The embassy recommends insisting on embassy-attested employment contracts and registering any labor grievances with the authorities. “The issue is already a concern for Kuwaiti and Indian officials. The job offers are under scanner,” he said.
