Govt bans popular painkiller, 327 other ‘unsafe’ fixed dose drugs



Sardion, the go-to medicine to ‘treat’ headaches in Indian households for decades, has been banned by the government along with 327 other combination drugs. As many as 6,000 brands are expected to be affected. Categorised as ‘unsafe’ and ‘irrational’, the banned list includes — Panderm, Gluconorm PG, Lupidiclox and Taxim AZ.
