India’s forex reserves surge $4.3 billion to hit new lifetime high of $55.8 billion

India’s foreign exchange reserves surged by $4.3 billion during the week ended June 7 to scale a lifetime high of $655.8 billion, according to the latest data released by the RBI on Friday. For the week ending June 7, foreign currency assets, the largest component of the reserves, rose by USD 3.773 billion to USD 576.337 billion.
