Early trends show the Congress and its main rival the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) locked in a close fight in the Karnataka Assembly elections 2018. Counting for 222 seats of Karnataka Assembly elections is taking place at 38 centres across the state and as per the trends, the Janata Dal Secular (JDS) is at the third spot. Karnataka chief minister and Congress candidate Siddaramaih is contesting from Chamundeshwari and Badami, and as per initial reports, he is trailing from both the seats.
