Rupee marks first weekly loss in five as Fed outlook boosts dollar

The Indian rupee has ended marginally higher against the US dollar, finishing at 82.09 per US dollar compared to the last session, but losing 0.3% over the week. The dollar is benefiting from risk aversion in the market, which alongside expectations that the Federal Reserve is set to hike US rates has led to a rise in the dollar index, set for its biggest weekly gain since February.
