Tesla is reportedly laying off some employees from its electric-vehicle battery production lines at its Shanghai factory due to reasons yet unclear. The workers on battery assembly lines are being notified of the decision this week and have been given the option to transfer to other workshops, such as stamping, painting or general assembly.
