Tata-SIA airline Vistara on Thursday became the first Indian carrier to operate a commercial domestic flight on a wide-body aircraft using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With a blend of 17 % SAF and 83 % conventional jet fuel, the airline operated a brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Delhi to Mumbai on a flight that cut carbon dioxide emissions by about 4500 kgs, said the airline.
