Wistron oks sale of ‘iPhone making’ India unit to Tatas

The Tata Group has officially taken over the Bangalore factory of Taiwanese contract manufacturer Wistron, making it the first Indian company to manufacture Apple iPhones. The plant is located near Bengaluru. This move marks a significant development in the manufacturing of electronics in India and supports the growth of global Indian electronics companies. Apple CEO Tim Cook had previously discussed the Tata Group’s manufacturing plans during his visit to India.
