Ellsbury’s HR backs Lester as Red Sox top Rays

Jacoby Ellsbury hit a three-run homer and Jon Lester struck out eight, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 in the opening game of a doubleheader Tuesday.
