Eliaquim Mangala has signed a one-year contract extension at Manchester City, keeping him at the club until 2020.
Mangala, 28, signed for Manchester City from Porto in 2014 for a fee of £32m but has only made 81 first-team appearances in the five years since.
The Frenchman picked up a Premier League winners’ medal after making nine appearances in the first half of City’s record-breaking 2017/18 campaign.
The former France international moved on loan to Everton in February 2018 but his spell at Goodison Park was cut short by a knee ligament injury after only two appearances for the Toffees.
He also spent the 2016/17 season on loan at La Liga side Valencia.
Mangala made one appearance for Man City’s Under-23 side in December 2018 but lasted only eight minutes before picking up a knock.
